This book is meant for junior high to high schoolers and goes through Chinese history from the very beginning (from the Xia Dynasty around 2000 BC) all the way to the Tang Dynasty (finishing in 906 AD). History is told through stories and there are maps that show how big or small the country is in each dynasty. Included are many pictures and illustrations, project ideas, review questions, and ideas for learning about China’s great artists and poets. There’s also History of China, Part 2, that goes from the period of division (907 AD) to modern China.
