This book is meant for junior high to high schoolers and goes from the period of division (907 AD) to modern history. History is told through stories and there are maps that shows how big or small the country as in each dynasty. Included are many pictures and illustrations, project ideas, review questions, and ideas for learning about China’s great artists and poets. Part 1 goes through Chinese history from the very beginning (from the Xia Dynasty around 2000 BC) all the way to the Tang Dynasty (finishing in 906 AD) and this part goes all the way up to modern history.
